TrueNetwork Platform – Terms of Use

Welcome to TrueNetwork, operated by TrueNetwork Community Solutions Society (“TrueNetwork,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TrueNetwork platform, associated websites, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the TrueNetwork platform or any related services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the Services.

1. Definitions

• Agreement means these Terms and all incorporated policies
• Platform means the TrueNetwork web platform, systems, databases, and infrastructure
• Services means all features, tools, data, and services provided by TrueNetwork
• User means any individual or organization using the Services
• Organization means any entity using the Services
• Content means all materials and information on the Platform
• User Content means content submitted by users
• TrueNetwork means TrueNetwork Community Solutions Society

2. Platform Purpose and Nature

TrueNetwork is a non-profit, public-interest digital infrastructure designed to strengthen Canada’s impact ecosystem.

• Connects organizations, funders, governments, and researchers
• Aggregates and structures community knowledge
• Supports collaboration and system-level insight
• Aligns with international and canadian frameworks

Important: TrueNetwork is an informational and research platform only and is not a regulated advisory or decision-making authority.

3. Eligibility

• You are at least 19 years old or legal age in your jurisdiction
• You have legal capacity to enter this agreement
• You comply with applicable laws

If acting for an organization, you confirm authorization to bind that organization.

4. Accounts and Security

• Provide accurate information
• Maintain secure credentials
• Be responsible for all account activity

TrueNetwork is not liable for unauthorized access due to user negligence.

5. Access Model

• The Platform is free and open-access
• Users may support through voluntary contributions
• Future features may evolve with the non-profit mission

6. Acceptable Use

• No unlawful or fraudulent use
• No misleading or harmful content
• No violation of IP or privacy rights
• No unauthorized access attempts
• No scraping, bots, or automation without permission
• No malware or system disruption
• No resale or exploitation of platform data

7. Enforcement and Legal Action

TrueNetwork may, at its sole and absolute discretion and without prior notice:

• Remove content
• Suspend or terminate access
• Restrict platform usage

We may report misuse to authorities and pursue legal remedies including damages and cost recovery.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of your content.

You grant TrueNetwork a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your content to operate and improve the platform.

• Content must be lawful
• Must not infringe rights
• Must not be misleading

9. TrueNetwork Intellectual Property

All platform rights remain with TrueNetwork, including software, systems, and data structures.

No ownership rights are transferred to users.

10. Public Data and No Reliance

10.1 Data Sources

The Platform includes public and aggregated data. Accuracy is not guaranteed.

10.2 No Professional Advice

The platform does not provide legal, financial, policy, or health advice.

10.3 No Reliance

You agree not to rely solely on the platform and to seek professional advice where required.

11. Privacy

Use of the platform is governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable laws including PIPA and PIPEDA.

12. Service Availability

The Platform may be interrupted, modified, or discontinued without notice.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify TrueNetwork and its directors and affiliates against all claims arising from your use or misuse.

15. Termination

Access may be terminated if Terms are violated or risk is created.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada.
